The High Valley Kayak and Canoe Club Announces 2012 Training Program
The Lehigh Valley Kayak and Canoe Club will be offering paddling classes for beginners at Lafayette College starting Sunday, January 8th. Classes will be held on the following Sundays: January 15,22,29, February 5,12,19,26 and March 4 and 25. If you are interested in the class contact Mary Giorlando at 908-285-0575 or email her at marygiorlando@hotmail.com. to preregister. Sign up early. Enrollment is limited.
Canoe instruction: January 8 and 15. Cost $25 which includes club membership.
Beginning kayak instruction: January 22,29, February 5,12,19,26, March 4 and 25. Cost $165 which includes club membership.
Recreational Kayak instruction: April 1,15 and 22. Cost $35 which includes club membership.

If you just want to practice your Eskimo roll and paddle strokes, pool sessions will also be available. The cost will be $10.00 per night. We have five extra dates this year. The session dates are the same as for the canoe and kayak classes. Sign up for all 13 sessions for $100 and get 3 nights free! No refunds if you miss a night, sorry!
All participants in the pool programs must be members of the Lehigh Valley Kayak and Canoe Club. Membership in the club is $15.00 for an individual or family. You can join the club at the pool or go to the website for application and waiver forms.
Need a kayak for our classes? Contact Jerry MacAward at Northeast PA Kayak School. Jerry is renting boats for $100, but you must pick them up before Christmas or after 1/17/12.
